Timber sheds, built for the Snowy Mountains
Strong, carbon-storing timber portal frame sheds for farms, workshops, garages, stables and arenas across the Snowy Monaro and the NSW South Coast. Designed for our region — engineered to your site’s wind classification and alpine snow loads. Any size, built to suit you.
Why timber
Steel sheds sweat and crack. As the temperature swings, steel expands and contracts — that’s the popping and banging you hear on a frosty morning or a hot afternoon — and cold steel collects condensation that drips onto your gear. Timber moves far less with temperature and doesn’t conduct the cold, so our engineered timber portal frames stay quieter and drier. They also store carbon instead of emitting it.
Choose the cladding to suit your site and style: Colorbond, zinc or Weathertex.
And because it’s timber, a shed can grow with you. Walls, linings, an office, a mezzanine — you simply fix to the frame. Start with a machinery shed today and turn it into a workshop, a studio or even a shed home later (with council approval).
Less condensation — timber frames don’t sweat and drip on your gear
Quieter — no popping and cracking as the temperature changes
Your choice of cladding — Colorbond, zinc or Weathertex
Easy to fit out — add offices, rooms or a mezzanine, or convert it into a shed home
Snow and wind rated — engineered for alpine loads
Fire resilient — big timber chars on the outside and keeps carrying load; unprotected steel can buckle and collapse suddenly
Any size — custom spans and lengths, no internal posts
Carbon-storing — every timber frame locks away CO₂ for the life of the building

Our portal frames are engineered LVL, kept off the ground by H3-treated plywood, with H2-treated pine bracing. A termite management system, installed by a licensed installer, is included in every quote as standard.

Large engineered timber chars on the outside, protecting the strong core within and allowing it to keep carrying load during a fire.
Unprotected steel is very different. Once it gets hot, it loses strength fast. At around 550–600 °C, it can lose roughly half its strength, then buckle and collapse suddenly — often with little warning.
