Jindabyne, Snowy Mountains | Planned for Q4 2026

Alpine PassivHaus is exploring possibilities with several organisations to bring a 5-day Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT) course to the Snowy Mountains. This hands-on training is ideal for builders, tradespeople, apprentices, and construction professionals who want to master the principles and practical techniques of high-performance, healthy, and sustainable construction.

Set in Jindabyne, at the heart of the Snowy Mountains, the course will combine classroom theory in our new training facility with practical factory-based workshops. Participants will gain real-world experience in airtightness detailing, vapour-open wall systems, thermal bridge-free construction, HRV and ducting installation, and blower-door testing using Alpine PassivHaus prefabricated wall, floor, and roof panels. The alpine climate provides the perfect environment to explore moisture management, insulation, and thermal comfort first-hand.

This 5-day program includes a dedicated exam preparation workshop, ensuring participants are fully equipped to sit the Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT) exam, accredited by the Passive House Institute (PHI). Upon passing, graduates will be internationally recognised as Certified Tradespeople qualified to apply Passive House standards across residential and commercial projects.
